Back by popular demand is Jack's Free Glass Cutting 101. This class is a must for those who want to do stained glass but don't know how to cut glass. It has also been a good "Tune Up" class for those who want to hone their skills or pick up some new techniques. As you know there is no such thing as a free lunch, same goes here. Although the class is free, you must have your own tools and purchase a piece of practice glass. Tools and supplies are available for purchase in-store and as always, any purchases made during class will receive the 25% student discount. Now let's get cutting!!! Instructor Jack

Leaded Stained Glass
Please get a list of supplies at the time of sign up. Some glass cutting experience required, as glass cutting is not taught in this class. Size of the project will be limited to patterns available. If you have a pattern you want to do, it must first be approved by your instructor. There will be homework. Pattern, tools, and glass must be purchased prior to class time. No time for shopping once class starts. Selections of completed panels are on display. This is not an easy class. There needs to be a minimum of four students for this class.
Glass cutting experience is required. Stained Glass knowledge is helpful but not necessary. This class was designed to combine two beautiful glass mediums together. Your focal point will be fused in two stages and then incorporated into a traditional stained glass panel. We have scheduled four weeks, with four hours of class time in each session. Should s fifth session be needed, we will have the following week available. Supply list available at the shop.
These lamp shades will be 4 OR 6 sided. Homework is a must to keep up to class. During the first session patterns will be passed out to design your shade. List of supplies required for lamp shade. 3-4 square feet back ground glass.Assorted colors for accents. Get the list of supplies when you sign up for the class.
Prior Stained Glass experience is absolutely necessary! You will choose from the many available Bevel Cluster Kits and Jack will guide through the process of designing your own unique pattern. Size and how you design around your Bevel Cluster will be totally up to you! The possibilities are endless. You must have your own cutting and breaking tools. This project can be made with regular stained glass or bevels. Projects will have borders of 1/8" Zinc, Brass or Copper metal.

In this basic starter class, you will be using Diamond Bevels, Pebbles, Clear Jewels, foil, solder. A starter kit will be provided to make one snowflake. Once you learn the basics, the possibilities are unlimited for creating your own unique, one of a kind snowflake with the wide assortment of bevels available. If you have your own Soldering Iron w/ stand, table foiler and foil burnisher, please bring them. If not we will be loaning out our equipment for this class.
