    *Free Glass Cutting Class*

    Back by popular demand is Jack's Free Glass Cutting 101. This class is a must for those who want to do stained glass but don't know how to cut glass. It has also been a good "Tune Up" class for those who want to hone their skills or pick up some new techniques. As you know there is no such thing as a free lunch, same goes here. Although the class is free, you must have your own tools and purchase a piece of practice glass. Tools and supplies are available for purchase in-store and as always, any purchases made during class will receive the 25% student discount. Now let's get cutting!!!   Instructor Jack

    Fusing & Slumping

    In this three week class you'll how to make a vase, basket weave plate, Cheese tray from a wine bottle, windchime, stylized plate, cool & funky stripes plate and an opal art plater.

    There is some homework involved. Everyone needs their cutting and breaking tools, black & silver sharpies.

    Switching gears on this Fused Jewelry class using Decals and demonstrating etching on Dichro. Using 96 COE glass and dichro, Jack will have you creating unique jewelry sets. Decals are available in Gold, Platinum and Black enamel. We will provide the Decals. If you have your own Dremel tool or glass engraver, we would like you to bring it. You will be making pendants, earrings and bracelets. Instructor Jack

    Fused Totem Sculpture

    Jack had a lot of inspiration from some new and older stained glass patterns for his latest creations, which are on display now. Depending on the size you choose and color, we'll cut your base piece here and you bring in lots of odds & ends of COLOR! Bring in those old fused jewelry pieces, or new. We have stands to accommodate your fused piece. We are selling them unpainted, so you can pick the color you want, to accent your finished piece. The first session will be a 4 hour class, with the second only to see everyone's finished pieces and have that "Ohhh & Ahhh" moment, & check for proper fit. Bring all your tools & glue.

    Solar Lights

    Holy Solar Lights Batman! Wanda has done it again! Using 96 COE glass, frit, noodles, stringers etc, you will create one of a kind pieces for your solar light. Kit fee includes use of some shop supplies, fusing and one solar light. One solar light per student.

    Icey Hot Frit Vase & Bowl

    Jack has been asked many times  to offer this class. So, instead of one project, he wants to show you how to make two, super gorgeous pieces! Using 96 COE Opal Art, Fusers' Reserve or Spirit Glass and Frit, Frit & Frit!! If you have any of the above mentioned glass in scrap, bring it on in!!  Glass & Frit will be discussed in first session so don't worry about purchasing in advance. There may be some homework. Glass cutting & breaking tools are a must.

    *NEW* Fused/ Stained Glass Panels

    Glass cutting experience is required. Stained glass knowledge is helpful but not necessary. This class was designed to combine two beautiful glass mediums together. Your focal point will will be fused in two stages and then incorporated into a traditional stained glass panel. We have scheduled four weeks, with four hours per session. Should a fifth session be needed, we will have the following week available. There is a supply list available at the shop.

    This class is all inclusive! Go Abstract, Geometric or Absolute with these 6x6 Fused Suncatchers. Each student will make two fused tiles using 96 COE clear. You will be shown how to fuse hooks for hanging. We will provide Frit, Noodles, Stringers, Pebbles, Scrap and hopefully inspiration! Instructor Jack

    Glass Designer Jewelry

    Jack has really come up with a clever way to combine 3 Dichroic Jewelry classes into one! You'll be shown his traditional method of "Mosaic" style, use of Mica Powders, etc. Then onto using those beautiful 96 COE canes. Canes are strands of a single color or multiple colors, that are twisted and encased in clear glass. You will learn how to cut the canes and be shown unique design elements and his newest Designer Style Dichro sets. The third session will be attaching various jewelry findings to complete your projects.

    Fused Clocks

    This would be a good time to use up some scrap. Bring cutting and breaking tools and gel glue. Jack will show how to drill the glass for the clock parts. Jack will have his sample of the clock and complementary pieces that will be displayed in our "3 Tier Stand". The kit fee includes firing, noodles, stringers and frit.

    Glass Casting

    We will be using 96 COE assorted powder and fine frit. Assorted frit colors are part of material supplied. Jack with demonstrate how to treat the molds for this process. The first session you will select and fill your molds. In the second session you can incorporate your finished castings onto any 96 coe sheet glass to create an amazing art piece!

     Bring your cutting, breaking and mosaic cutting tools. If you have any 96 Dichroic glass, bring it to class.

    Scraps - Stacks & Reactions, Oh My!

    Have you missed any of Lora's classes? Taken them all but are ready for another? Fear not! Our "Queen of Scrap" has put a magical spin on combining several of her favorite techniques. You will have a chance to use scrap glass, glass stacking and/ or glass reaction ( no special glass required.) This is a fun easy way to use scrap glass or a great excuse to but more sheet glass. If you have any of those 96 coe millefiori that you couldn't resist buying but still have it languishing in your stash, be sure to bring them along too. Call for a list of what to bring and you will need your cutting and breaking tools. A mosaic nipper is a must!

    Garden Yard Art/ Sun Catchers

    You will be using 96 COE glass, Noodles,Stringers, Frit and whatever else might be lying around.  He will have patterns available or do your own design. Once they are fused, they are ready to hang. New metal stands will be available for purchase, should you choose. Then you'll choose the mold for slumping.

    Timeless Pot Melts

    This class is now 3 sessions, should you choose the "clock" option for your pot melt.
    Got scrap glass?? Here's a class that will show you how to make a one of a kind fused glass heart. There will be an 8" and 10" mold and an assortment of pots that will give you a design that will impress everyone! Bring your glass cutting and breaking tools. You will need approx. 3 lbs. of 96 COE assorted colored glass. Please, not too many dark colors.

    Talk about an easy one day wonder glass, this is it! Donya will be co-hosting this class with me. No painting experience necessary!     Wanda has found another amazing and beautiful way to use Mosaic Style glass, frit and stencils to make these beautiful fused trivet style tiles. You'll be using 96 COE Mosaic Scrap and glass. Bring your glass cutting and breaking tools and a mosaic nipper, if you have one. Choose from the many available colors for your base piece and build your mosaic on that. You'll be shown how to work the frit as a "grout" and then your stenciled design on that.

    'What a Hoot'
    Yard Art

    Bring your 96 COE Scrap, full or half sheets of color, dichro or fused cabochons. This is a fun, quick and not too dirty class! We will supply the wood board that you will take home and embellish with paint, stencils or give it a distressed look. In the second session you will attach the fused Owl pieces and add ears and feet if you wish using decorative wire.

    Fused Bath Accessories

    In this class you will make two different tissue box covers, one large and one small. To further accessorize your bath, you will make a soap & guest towel tray. This beautiful tray can also be used for cheese & crackers. When you come to class, bring (2) tissue boxes. A large and a small, of your choice. We will need those to make templates, as all manufacturers use different sizes. You be using only 96 COE glass for these projects. When class is completed, you should end up with three projects. Supplies required for this class are: ALL your cutting and breaking tools. Pattern paper & carbon paper. Sharpie Pens. Elmer's Clear Gel Glue. Regular scissors. Morton System (optional). Blue Painter's Tape. These projects will require 1 piece of 24"x 24" 96 COE glass for background, in a color of your choice. Glass can be selected ahead of class and held for you. Bring extra 96 COE glass for decorating. A detailed instruction sheet will be provided during class.

    Puddles & Puddles= Cool Art

     Possibly, one of the coolest way to use your 96 COE scrap glass. Learn to make beautiful, one of a kind fused glass components that can be used alone or as part of a larger project. Using layers of glass and your imagination, you will learn how to quickly create multicolored fused glass baubles that can be made into cabochons and/ or embellishments for other fused glass projects or mosaics.
    Materials needed: varieties of fusing glass ( at least 2 different), your glass cutting & breaking tools, glass nippers (mosaic cutters), hammer, towel, pencils and safety glasses.

    Frame 'N Hang (Art Fusing) 

    Picture Frame should be of wood. Keep in mind, that the weight of the fused glass and frame can get heavy. Frame size will determine the size of project you want. Your design will be applied and fused to a 96 COE background glass of your choice. This is a good time to use your 96 scraps. Go abstract or use a pattern. We will have some new "Fantasy" type patterns to use or start thinking about your own possibilities. Bring glass cutting and breaking tools and Gel Glue. The pictures shown are just a small sample of what can be done. More patterns will be available and pictures just don't do these justice!! 10 patterns are now available!

    This class will require A LOT of Noodles & Stringers, clear 96 glass and time. Many of you have seen the various projects around the shop and many of you want to know how to do it. BUT, how many are willing to take the ultimate plunge and "invest" the time and mass quantities of money to make a truly one of a kind, unique show piece? Melanie and I have spent more time and resources on these amazing beauties and now you can learn the different techniques to achieve the look you want. You'll have your choice of sizes ranging from 8" square to 12" square.
    Then you'll choose the mold for slumping.

    Slinky Gals

    These "slinky" little gal suncatchers are packing some eye catching appeal and attitude. You will be using 96 coe glass, so some scrap could go along way. Other goodies like paints, noodles, stringers and wire will gussy these little cuties right up! There are two samples to see. You will be getting your pieces ready for the kiln in the first session and then putting your gals together with colorful wire and other adornments. Bring your glass cutting and breaking tools.

    Reactive Glass 101

    Blue + yellow= ?? How many times have you noticed a mysterious dark line where a blue glass stripe runs along a yellow stripe? That is reactive glass at work - those surprise color changes obtained when two colors touch or overlap during fusing. In this class you will find out how wonderful glass reaction can be. Spectrum & Uroboros have come together and provided glass, frits, stingers & noodles that react with certain colors. There are numerous interactive colors and we will discuss the many ways to obtain these unexpected, exciting and striking results. You will be able to use the special reactive glasses or play with the regular 96 fusing glass or both! Is it predictable? Not entirely. Is it fun? Yes! Is it worth messing with the whole color thing? Absolutely! Bring a sheet of 10x10 96 clear for your base. Good colors to use for this class include many blues, greens and teal, both opaque and transparent. Also bring yellows and amber's. Bring your glass cutting & breaking tools.

    Reactive Glass 201

    More Adventures with reactive glass - we will explore further the exciting color changes that can be seen when certain colors touch or overlap during fusing. It's a good time to dive in and use the special reactive glasses, if you didn't give them a try in Reactive Glass 101. Now that you have had a little experience with this technique, the options will be more complex. Again, you may bring clear 96 glass for the base plus blues, greens, blue greens, yellows, reds and oranges and, of course reactive sheet glass if you choose. Prerequisite: Reactive Glass 101. Bring your tools!

    Glass Casting

    We will be using 96 COE assorted powder and fine frit. Assorted frit colors are part of material supplied. Jack with demonstrate how to treat the molds for this process. The first session you will select and fill your molds. In the second session you can incorporate your finished castings onto any 96 coe sheet glass to create an amazing art piece!

     Bring your cutting, breaking and mosaic cutting tools. If you have any 96 Dichroic glass, bring it to class.

    Scraps - Stacks & Reactions, Oh My!

    Have you missed any of Lora's classes? Taken them all but are ready for another? Fear not! Our "Queen of Scrap" has put a magical spin on combining several of her favorite techniques. You will have a chance to use scrap glass, glass stacking and/ or glass reaction ( no special glass required.) This is a fun easy way to use scrap glass or a great excuse to but more sheet glass. If you have any of those 96 coe millefiori that you couldn't resist buying but still have it languishing in your stash, be sure to bring them along too. Call for a list of what to bring and you will need your cutting and breaking tools. A mosaic nipper is a must!

    Garden Yard Art/ Sun Catchers

    You will be using 96 COE glass, Noodles,Stringers, Frit and whatever else might be lying around.  He will have patterns available or do your own design. Once they are fused, they are ready to hang. New metal stands will be available for purchase, should you choose. Then you'll choose the mold for slumping.

    Got scrap glass?? Here's a class that will show you how to make a one of a kind fused glass heart. There will be an 8" and 10" mold and an assortment of pots that will give you a design that will impress everyone! Bring your glass cutting and breaking tools. You will need approx. 3 lbs. of 96 COE assorted colored glass. Please, not too many dark colors.

    Talk about an easy one day wonder glass, this is it! Donya will be co-hosting this class with me. No painting experience necessary! Bring your own glassware ie: vases, wine glasses, candle votives, etc. The resale shops have amazing goodies at great prices. My personal favorite is InJoy Thrift store @ Broadway & Pantano.     Fused Mosaic Tiles

    Wanda has found another amazing and beautiful way to use Mosaic Style glass, frit and stencils to make these beautiful fused trivet style tiles. You'll be using 96 COE Mosaic Scrap and glass. Bring your glass cutting and breaking tools and a mosaic nipper, if you have one. Choose from the many available colors for your base piece and build your mosaic on that. You'll be shown how to work the frit as a "grout" and then your stenciled design on that.

    Fused Festive Chip "N Dip Bowl w/ Matching Appetizer Side Dishes

     Some of us have had a blast making these awesome sets! Your party table will never be the same! What will be the topic of discussion- the eatables? OR,the super fabulous dishes, holding all those yummy goodies! Use your Recipe Holder to hold copies of your recipe for them to take home! Bazinga! You will need a lot of glass, as your bowl & plates will be at least 2 layers. Bring tools & glue.

    'What a Hoot'
    Yard Art

    Bring your 96 COE Scrap, full or half sheets of color, dichro or fused cabochons. This is a fun, quick and not too dirty class! We will supply the wood board that you will take home and embellish with paint, stencils or give it a distressed look. In the second session you will attach the fused Owl pieces and add ears and feet if you wish using decorative wire.

    Fused Bath Accessories

    In this class you will make two different tissue box covers, one large and one small. To further accessorize your bath, you will make a soap & guest towel tray. This beautiful tray can also be used for cheese & crackers. When you come to class, bring (2) tissue boxes. A large and a small, of your choice. We will need those to make templates, as all manufacturers use different sizes. You be using only 96 COE glass for these projects. When class is completed, you should end up with three projects. Supplies required for this class are: ALL your cutting and breaking tools. Pattern paper & carbon paper. Sharpie Pens. Elmer's Clear Gel Glue. Regular scissors. Morton System (optional). Blue Painter's Tape. These projects will require 1 piece of 24"x 24" 96 COE glass for background, in a color of your choice. Glass can be selected ahead of class and held for you. Bring extra 96 COE glass for decorating. A detailed instruction sheet will be provided during class.

    Puddles & Puddles= Cool Art

     Possibly, one of the coolest way to use your 96 COE scrap glass. Learn to make beautiful, one of a kind fused glass components that can be used alone or as part of a larger project. Using layers of glass and your imagination, you will learn how to quickly create multicolored fused glass baubles that can be made into cabochons and/ or embellishments for other fused glass projects or mosaics.
    Materials needed: varieties of fusing glass ( at least 2 different), your glass cutting & breaking tools, glass nippers (mosaic cutters), hammer, towel, pencils and safety glasses.
